Waters

Captain Ken Courtlangus' season starts in early April with the arrival of Striped Bass in the estuaries along Long Islands Western North Shore. The Striped Bass arrive in great numbers after a long cold winter to the warm waters of the many mud flats of the Western North Shore of Long Island. Hot on their heels are Bluefish and Big Weakfish in late May, June and July. Late May through August brings the new and full moon worm hatches. A must for the Saltwater fly fishing enthusiast. Book early as these trips fill up fast. July through August bring big Bluefish, False Albacore and Bonita. September and October you will find Captain Ken at Montauk Point fly fishing Montauks famous Fall run for False Albacore, Bluefish and of coarse Striped Bass. Capt. Ken is back at Oyster Bay for November and December which is the best time for fall migrating big Striped Bass and Gorilla Bluefish [to 18lbs]. So come enjoy some of Long Islands best saltwater fly fishing close to home.
